Merry Christmas to All…

There is a lot I love about Christmas and the season around it. However, I feel that one of my all-time favorite things is the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas animated movie with Boris Karloff. It’s just so iconic. I honestly feel it’s the best Dr. Seuss cartoon from that era. It really nailed the emotional journey of the story and honestly maybe even a little more impactful than the book did.

My favorite lines from the movie though were never in the book, which I was a little devastated to find out when I was older. They just encapsulate the feeling of Christmas for me with near perfect precision.

Welcome Christmas, bring you cheer
Cheer to all whos far and near.
Christmas day is in our grasp,
So long as we have hands to clasp.
Christmas day will always be, just as long
As we have we.

So with that I wish you all a Merry Christmas. I hope you are with friends or family this day. I will close with a quote from my novella When the Candles Burn.

To strangers who become friends.
Friends that become family, and
Family that stands the test of time.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
